Nursery 1 are all set for their ´Easter Egg Hunt´ this afternoon with the parents.
They have their hats and baskets at the ready.
Have you ever tried painting with feathers?
Children love everything about feathers from the colours to how they feel all soft and fluffy.
It´s nice to explore with the things in our environment and that´s exactly what they did. The children in Nursery 1 explored by using the feathers to paint with. By swirling and mixing the different types of paint, they were able to create different patterns and textures.
Painting strengthens fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination so open up a bag of feathers and have fun!
Nursery 1 have been getting creative with footprints this week; making patterns, exploring different colours and discovering the feeling of paint between their toes.
What a fun way to make a piece of art!
As part of the theme this term, the children in Nursery 1 have been making homemade winter play dough.
They enjoyed mixing the ingredients, adding the colouring and seeing the end product. They had so much fun exploring and creating with the dough as you can see below.
It´s only our first week back and it is already proving to be a great term. The children are ready and eager to learn.
Take a look at some of the things we´ve been doing…
The children in Nursery have been busy all week making Christmas cards for their family.
Today they got the chance to go up to the post box near school with their parents and teachers to post them.
The children are really looking forward to them being delivered to their homes.
We would like to thank all of the parents that took part!
The children and teachers alike are so happy you came!
Nursery 1 have been playing with spaghetti as part of a sensory play activity.
This is a great way to engage all of their senses simultaneously.
The children loved this activity!
